In 2019 Richard Green Funeral Service are celebrating 20 years as your local, independent and family run funeral service, with offices in Lewes and Uckfield
They are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the National Dying Matters Coalition. In 2018 they were awarded the regional prize of Funeral Planner of the Year by Golden Charter, in recognition of their work supporting people to take out pre-paid funeral plans. As an independent funeral directors they are able to offer a more flexible approach to meeting clients requirements for service provision and the subsequent pricing of their chosen funeral.
Richard has been working in the funeral industry for over 45 years and has an excellent team of staff and bearers who take great pride in working together. They do their utmost to provide a service that is bother caring and dignified. Emily joined the team in January 2017, having previously worked as a Social Worker. She particularly values being in a position to help people at a difficult time, exploring their wishes and the wishes of the person that has died and individually tailoring each funeral to best commemorate the person’s life.
As a local funeral service, Richard Green’s are always keen to do what they can in the community to help people be prepared and to open up a conversation about death and funeral choices. Emily is currently organising an event during Dying Matters Awareness Week, May 2019, which will provide an ideal opportunity to welcome members of the public and professionals who are interested in discussing and learning from each other.
